A Life of Meaning
Herbert L. Hilliard is more than an author. He’s a mentor, a visionary, and a builder of soulful communities. His work lights the way for those seeking love, truth, and transformation through stories.
Early Roots
Born on April 18, 1955, in Daytona Beach, Florida, Herbert was raised by his grandmother in MacClenny and Jacksonville. These early years, filled with love and discipline, shaped his strong sense of purpose.
Service and Strength
After graduating from Baker County High School in 1974, Herbert joined the U.S. Army as an armor crewman. His service from 1974 to 1977 taught him discipline, unity, and resilience—values that guide him to this day.
From Tech to Truth
After the Army, Herbert worked in technology at the Kennedy Space Center through Computer Sciences Corporation. His duty was as a ground-launch computer troubleshooting technician. But his heart stayed with storytelling. He blended tech skills with spiritual insight to create books, build communities, and launch digital platforms.
Up, down, and up again
A decade of Herbert’s life was devoted to drug use. A habit that brought his computer career virtually to an end. Spoiling relationships. Separating him from family because of shame. Living in abandoned houses and spending time in jail. Moving from jail directly in Rehab where he has been drug free after completing the six months program.
Books That Speak to the Soul
Herbert’s books offer spiritual wisdom, emotional depth, and poetic truth. Many are available for free or for buy through Amazon, AbeBooks, and Barnes & Noble.
Why Luciditybooks Exists
Herbert founded Luciditybooks Inc. to share more than just books. It’s a space for reflection, connection, and growth. We believe stories can heal, guide, and inspire.
