Summary
What We Are Told explores belief, truth, and critical thinking—poetic reflections on questioning, values, and personal freedom at luciditybooks.
It’s important to question what we are told and to use critical thinking to evaluate the information we get. Blindly believing without evidence or proof can lead to false beliefs. Such actions are not in our best interest.
Nonetheless, it’s also important to acknowledge that there are things we can know through our own experiences and observations. An example of this is the love and connection we feel towards another person. Our personal truths and beliefs should be based on a combination of both critical thinking and our own experiences.
We must strive to live a life true to ourselves. We need to honor our own values. We should not conform to what we are told by others.
