house of fright

House of fright. Spiders and snakes, lizards, and scorpions. How many houses have I been afraid to live in? From childhood to adult. Lizards and snakes, scorpions, and spiders have terrified me because of the fear of them being in the house.

I see them squiring about on the outside. Some climbing on the outside walls of the house looking for a way to get inside. What will they do when they enter the house? Are they underneath the bed waiting for an opportunity to strike?

Spiders and snakes, lizards, and scorpions. House of fear, house of unease. A sound in the dark. A movement in the light. A flash before my eyes. House of fright, not exactly paradise.

From childhood to adult. How many houses have I lived in that have caused me concern? Anxiety, not from mischievous children knocking on the windows and doors then running off, although that was a problem in two dwellings. But from the dread of spiders and snakes, lizards, and scorpions entering the house.

I have not had any dreams or nightmares of them, because they are creatures that I can see that would not have a second thought about biting me.

House of fright. Spiders and snakes, lizards, and scorpions looking for a way to get inside of the house and are probably already inside the house waiting for a chance to pounce.

Lizards and snakes, scorpions, and spiders crawling about determined to make the house where I live their home. Fear in the light, dread in the dark. A childhood of apprehension. Adult living that is sometimes not friendly. Shadows on the walls morphing into a phobia. Hearing sounds that the imagination forms.

House of fright. Spiders and snakes, lizards, and scorpions. Lizards and snakes, scorpions, and spiders makes a house of fright a distressful home.
