Relying on Faith and When it Collaspe’s

Summary

Faith often collapses when confronted with reality, yet many reinforce it through denial and wishful thinking. "Relying on Faith and When it Collapse's" explores how dependence on external forces can hinder personal responsibility, foster escapism, and create vulnerability to exploitation. This reflection contrasts faith with reciprocity, highlighting the dangers of misplaced reliance while emphasizing the importance of self-reliance, community, and hope rooted in personal strength rather than blind belief.

Faith(1) - Relying on Faith and When it Collaspe's

Faith vs. Wishful Thinking

When faith collapses, which is always, there is a way to reinforce it. This is because wishful thinking has no limits even in the face of indisputable evidence to the contrary.

There is nothing wrong with wishful thinking if it does not govern your life, in my opinion. The error is allowing faith to evolve so that a person is willing to deploy escapism to avoid reality.

Living by Faith

Living by faith is hindering because it hampers incentive and can even shut it down. Relying one some person or some force for help is a robber and a thief of personal responsibility. This reliance of something other than yourself for aid and support is usually a disappointment.

Dependency and Responsibility

And usually, you don’t get what you want, or it comes with compromises that you must make. Some of which becomes long term dependence on charity. Charity that can easily be held back and broken depending on whatever and whoever whim at a given moment.

People of faith have a built-in mechanism that absorbs and nullify disappointments. They live in a wonder world of their own making that justifies having a lack of common-sense. They have come to believe that they can’t stand on their own.

We are not alone in this world. We need help from others. We also need to give help to others. Without help from and helping others the human species would have long gone extinct.

faith (2)

Reciprocity vs. Faith

The act of reciprocity is internally coded as mechanisms for survival and community and society building. While faith builds a lack of self-esteem and dependence. Building a dependence on someone or something that is secretly harboring disdain and harm for the person relying on faith.

Faith as Exploitable Weakness

Being hopeful and wishful thinking is not the problem. The issue arises when you become a captive to the whims of someone. This person or thing has no vested interest in you. A vested interest that you should have for yourself. A person or something that sees your faith as a sign of weakness that can and should be exploited.

Mechanisms of Denial

Faith and Denial as a Cycle

Faith and denial is the flip side of the same coin. Both feeding upon the other. Rending no return on investment, like many affiliate marketing and paid advertising campaigns.

The fallout is not noticeable when faith collapses. A person who has faith in faith does not see it. They respond by fortifying their faith. This is not a good spiral of denial to place oneself in.

Conclusion

Or maybe it is, if you have unsubstantiated confidence in faith regardless of the evidence. Happy Wishing.
