Summary
This essay raises thought-provoking questions about the interpretation of historical and archaeological evidence. It highlights the potential for misinterpretation and the impact of limited evidence on our understanding of the past.
Disjointed Bones: With ten disjointed bone fragments an entire people is created, and yet we know from modern people that there exists a wide range of body types. What would someone in the future conclude if they found a few modern human bones? Will they be as outlandish as the so-called scholars of today are?
With a trickle of evidence doctorates, acclaim, and awards are given. Textbooks are written, lectures are given, documentaries are made all proclaiming how easy it is for a little knowledge to puff up and corrupt the ego of the well and not so well meaning.
With a small bone fragment how a people looked, how they behaved, how long they lived, the cloths and ornaments they worn, and on and on can be determined by those calling themselves experts in the fields of anthropology, psychology, and prehistoric archaeology.
These so-called experts fashion toolkits to illustrate and validation of their assumptions being arrogant in their all-knowing and intolerant of any form of disagreement by others. They pride themselves in their understanding and knowledge of things they cannot possibly know and routinely dismiss evidence that contradicts their utopian wisdom.
There is no disputing that you must begin with the raw elements as you build the foundation. and it is also true that when material do not fit the foundational structure those objects must be discarded. Pride, stubbornness, and prejudices have no merit in the search for the truth if the truth is what one is searching for, and one group of people should never be considered the magic wand in the study of the universe.
This is no to say that the conclusions of the so-called experts are wrong but should be taken at face value as best guess based on scant evidence. A little knowledge breeds contempt of those who are considered lacking acquaintance with certain information.
And the horde gives in to this social brainwashing and eagerly accepts whatever they are contemptuously spoon fed by the self-proclaimed mastery. You can see it in the blank faces glued to their cell phones and the growing number of people who have lost or are losing their senses.
Disjointed bones tell the whole story. Or do they? Do disjointed bones tell all that occurred to the human anatomy during the most recent glacial period or ice age as it is called? How new body types and skin complexions evolved in response to climatic conditions? How geography played a significant role in body adaptation to changing environments. How from one came the many that we have on earth today.
Between about 120,000 and 11,500 years ago groups of people who had migrated to the northern latitudes began undergoing an adaptive physical change in response to the changing climate.
A few scatted bones are found, and these people are mysteriously degenerated as a different human species by those who interpret as they will. An entire society is configured by bits and scraps scattered over long distances.
The bone bits are given a name based on where the bone fragments were first found, and the rest is jumping to unsubstantiated conclusions.
With disjointed bone fragments the seeds of intolerance are formed, and knowledge is reduced to whims.
